Target Information
Gas2는 인간 유전자 GAS2에 의해 발현되는 313 아미노산 단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 세포사멸(apoptosis) 과정에서 caspase-3 및 caspase-7에 의해 Asn278 위치에서 절단되며, 절단된 형태는 actin 세포골격 재배열을 유도하여 세포 형태를 변화시킵니다.
Gas2는 세포막 주위의 microfilament 시스템 구성요소로 작용하며, G0-G1 전이기 동안 serine 잔기에서 인산화됩니다.
또한 막 주름(membrane ruffling) 과정에 관여하며, 성장 정지 상태의 섬유아세포에서 actin 섬유와 함께 세포 경계에 공동 위치합니다.
Gas2는 주로 막에 결합되어 있으나, 과인산화 시 막 주름 부위에 축적됩니다.
주로 간, 폐, 신장에서 높은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
