- Detects endogenous NCF2 protein at approximately 60 kDa.
- Purity >95% by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
NCF2, NCF1, and a membrane-bound cytochrome b558 are required for activation of latent NADPH oxidase, which is essential for superoxide production.
Defects in NCF2 can cause chronic granulomatous disease, autosomal recessive cytochrome-b-positive type 2 (CGD2), characterized by impaired microbial killing by neutrophils and phagocytes, leading to recurrent life-threatening bacterial and fungal infections.
