Target Information
BirA는 biotin-[acetyl-CoA-carboxylase] ligase이자 biotin-operon 억제 인자로 작용합니다.
ATP 존재하에서 biotin을 활성화하여 BirA-biotinyl-5'-adenylate (BirA-bio-5'-AMP 또는 holoBirA) 복합체를 형성합니다.
HoloBirA는 biotin carboxyl carrier protein (BCCP) 소단위로 biotinyl기를 전달하거나 biotin operator 부위에 결합하여 operon 전사를 억제할 수 있습니다.
