Target Information
B cell linker protein (BLNK) is encoded by the Blnk gene located on chromosome 10 in humans. Also known as SLP-65, it acts as an adaptor protein in the B cell receptor signaling cascade. BLNK undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation by Syk kinase, providing a platform for interactions with signaling intermediaries such as Vav GEF and Grb2. Deficiency of BLNK leads to improper B cell development.
