Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: Add 50 µL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze–thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

This gene encodes subunit B of the type 3 receptor for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, hormone, and mitogen.
The receptor induces fast, depolarizing responses in neurons after activation.
The heteromeric combination of A and B subunits is required for full receptor functionality, as either subunit alone results in receptors with low conductance and response amplitude.
