• Reconstitution:
  Reconstitute with 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW) depending on sample size.
  The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
  Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
  The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
  For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
  Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
  Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

The 5HT3A receptor (encoded by the HTR3A gene) belongs to the ligand-gated ion channel receptor superfamily.
It encodes subunit A of the type 3 receptor for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a neurotransmitter, hormone, and mitogen.
This receptor mediates fast depolarizing responses in neurons upon activation.
The heteromeric combination of A and B subunits is required for full receptor function, as individual subunits yield receptors with low conductance and response amplitude.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
