Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CPA1 (Carboxypeptidase A1) is a 419 amino acid secreted monomeric protein highly expressed in pancreatic tissue. It functions as a zinc-dependent pancreatic exopeptidase, catalyzing the release of C-terminal amino acids from various proteins, contributing to protein digestion and degradation. CPA1 may also participate in zymogen inhibition, preventing premature enzyme activation. Abnormal CPA1 levels are associated with pancreatic cancer, suggesting roles in tumor progression or suppression.
