Product Specific Information
- A 1:1,000 dilution of PA5-77798 was sufficient for detection of PIK3CA in 15 µg of mouse brain cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
- Detects 55.7 kDa protein band.
Target Information
Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) is composed of an 85 kDa regulatory subunit and a 110 kDa catalytic subunit.
The PIK3CA gene encodes the catalytic subunit, which uses ATP to phosphorylate PtdIns, PtdIns4P, and PtdIns(4,5)P2.
This gene is known to be oncogenic and has been implicated in cervical cancers.
