• In Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Dhh N-terminus peptide (aa 23–198), Shh C-terminus peptide (aa 199–437), and Ihh C-terminus peptide (aa 241–449) is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
• Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody by the LAL method.

Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the Hedgehog family, which produces signaling molecules crucial for morphogenesis regulation. The protein is synthesized as a precursor that undergoes autocatalytic cleavage:

• The N-terminal portion is soluble and responsible for signaling activity.
• The C-terminal portion assists in precursor processing and attaches a cholesterol moiety to the N-terminal product, restricting its diffusion.

Defects in this protein are associated with partial gonadal dysgenesis (PGD) and minifascicular polyneuropathy. It may play a role in male gonadal differentiation and perineurial development.
