- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Fc gamma RIIIB and rhCD32 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
CD16 encodes a receptor that recognizes the Fc portion of immunoglobulin G and is involved in clearance of immune complexes, cellular mediated cytotoxicity, and enhancement of virus infections.
The gene FCGR3A shares high similarity with FCGR3B, located on chromosome 1.
FCGR3A is expressed on natural killer (NK) cells as an integral membrane glycoprotein, while FCGR3B is expressed on polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN) with a phosphatidylinositol (PI) linkage.
Mutations in this gene are associated with Immunodeficiency 20, recurrent viral infections, systemic lupus erythematosus, and alloimmune neonatal neutropenia.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
