Target Information

IRAK2 (interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase-like 2) binds to the IL-1 type I receptor following IL-1 engagement and triggers intracellular signaling cascades leading to transcriptional up-regulation and mRNA stabilization.
The pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1 induces cellular responses through IL-1 receptor I (IL-1RI) and IL-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RAcP).
IRAK family members, including IRAK2, mediate activation of NF-κB, a key transcription factor regulating inflammatory and immune responses.
IRAK2 is expressed in a variety of human tissues and plays a central role in IL-1R and TLR-mediated signaling pathways.
