Target Information

DCAMKL1 (DCLK1), also known as doublecortin-like kinase 1, is a serine/threonine kinase containing two N-terminal doublecortin domains that bind microtubules and regulate polymerization, a C-terminal serine/threonine kinase domain homologous to Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase, and an intermediate serine/proline-rich domain mediating protein-protein interactions.
DCLK1 is a microtubule-associated kinase capable of autophosphorylation and microtubule polymerization independent of its kinase activity. It is involved in neuronal migration, retrograde transport, apoptosis, and neurogenesis.
