Target Information

UNC5D (also known as KIAA1777, UNC5H4) is a receptor for netrin and belongs to the unc-5 family. It plays a role in axon guidance by mediating axon repulsion of neuronal growth cones in the developing nervous system upon ligand binding. The repulsion may result from its association with DCC, triggering repulsion signaling. Additionally, UNC5D acts as a dependence receptor required for apoptosis induction when unbound to netrin ligand.
