For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD146 (MCAM) is an integral membrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily.
It is expressed at cell-cell junctions in endothelial cells and in various normal and malignant cell types.
CD146 functions as a calcium-independent cell adhesion molecule and may also participate in signal transduction through Fyn kinase activation and tyrosine-phosphorylation of intracellular proteins related to actin cytoskeleton assembly.
It contributes to endothelial cell cohesion and vascular integrity, and may facilitate melanoma metastasis by mediating interactions with vascular components.
Additionally, CD146 may play roles in neural crest cell adhesion during embryonic development and act as a surface receptor triggering intracellular calcium signaling.
