Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882) to ensure carrier-free conditions.


Target Information

Arginase-1 (Arg1) is a 35 kDa enzyme that converts L-arginine to urea and L-ornithine, completing the urea cycle.
It regulates nitric oxide production by limiting substrate availability for NO synthase.
Arginase 1 is expressed in the liver, neutrophils, myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSC), and neural stem cells in both humans and mice.
In mice, it is a hallmark of alternatively activated macrophages (M2a).
Arginase-1 expression is often observed in tumor-infiltrating myeloid cells and hepatocellular carcinomas.
Defects in the ARG1 gene cause argininemia, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by hyperammonemia.
