Target Information

Gene: NR1H3 (LXR-alpha, oxysterols receptor)
NR1H3 is a nuclear receptor involved in ligand-dependent transcriptional activation. It interacts with RXR to mediate retinoid responses via LXREs (DR4-type response elements). NR1H3 plays a crucial role in cholesterol homeostasis, regulating cholesterol uptake through MYLIP-dependent ubiquitination of LDLR, VLDLR, and LRP8. It also cooperates with RORA in controlling genes involved in hepatic metabolism.
