Target Information
CD3G encodes the CD3-gamma polypeptide, which, together with CD3-epsilon, -delta, and -zeta subunits, forms the T-cell receptor (TCR)-CD3 complex. This complex is essential for coupling antigen recognition to intracellular signal transduction pathways. The genes encoding the epsilon, gamma, and delta chains are clustered on chromosome 11. Mutations in CD3G are associated with T-cell immunodeficiency.
