Product Specific Information

MM700 targets IFN gamma in ELISA, IHC(F), Neu, and WB applications and shows reactivity with mouse samples.
The MM700 immunogen is recombinant mouse IFN gamma.
MM700 detects IFN gamma with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 16 kDa.

The MM700 mouse IFNγ antibody (clone XMG1.2) has been successfully paired as the coating antibody in sandwich ELISA with detection antibody MM700B (biotinylated conjugate of the same clone).
Typical dilutions for sandwich ELISA include:

• Coating: 1 µg/mL
• Detection: 0.125–0.25 µg/mL

MM700 and MM700B have been used in combination with recombinant mouse IFNγ protein (SM2IFNG) in ELISA applications.

This antibody is produced by injecting Rat IgG secreting hybridoma cells into the peritoneum of mice. The resulting ascites is collected and purified.

Endotoxin level: ≤10 EU/mg (tested by LAL assay).

Target Information

IFN gamma (Interferon gamma, Type II interferon)
A macrophage activation factor produced mainly by T-lymphocytes and NK cells in response to antigens and cytokines.
It is a dimeric glycoprotein (~45 kDa) composed of two 146 amino acid subunits.
On SDS-PAGE, IFN gamma appears as 25, 20, and minor 15.5 kDa bands due to differential glycosylation.

Functions include:

• Antiviral and tumor antiproliferative activity
• Induction of class I and II MHC
• Macrophage activation
• Enhanced immunoglobulin secretion by B cells

Human IFN gamma does not cross-react with mouse IFN gamma.
Activation occurs via IFN gamma receptor I and II, leading to JAK-STAT pathway activation.
Gene mutations are associated with aplastic anemia.

Regulation:
Upregulated by IL2, FGF basic, EGF.
Downregulated by vitamin D3 or DMN.
