PLEKHM2 (also known as SKIP) is a member of the M family of Pleckstrin homology domain-containing proteins. It is specifically expressed in human hematopoietic stem cells, suggesting a role in erythroid commitment and development. PLEKHM2 also interacts with the Salmonella virulence factor SifA, indicating roles beyond embryonic development.
