Target Information
PSRC1 is required for normal progression through mitosis. It ensures proper chromosome congression at the metaphase plate and normal chromosomal segregation during anaphase. The protein regulates mitotic spindle dynamics, increases microtubule turnover on metaphase spindles, and contributes to tension generation across sister kinetochores. PSRC1 recruits KIF2A and ANKRD53 to the mitotic spindle and spindle poles and may play a role in p53/TP53-regulated growth suppression.
