This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening of individual clones to select optimal candidates for production.

This antibody shows specificity for Human ULBP2/N2DL-2.

Target Information

ULBP2 encodes a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I-related molecule that binds to the NKG2D receptor on natural killer (NK) cells, triggering release of cytokines and chemokines that recruit and activate NK cells. The mature protein is either membrane-anchored via a glycosylphosphatidylinositol moiety or secreted. Many malignant cells secrete this protein to evade NK cell immunosurveillance.
This gene is located in a cluster of multiple MHC class I-related genes on chromosome 6.
