Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
Human, Gibbon, Monkey, Panda (100%); Gorilla, Dog, Elephant, Horse (93%); Mouse, Rat, Hamster (86%)For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.

Target Information
CERK converts ceramide to ceramide 1-phosphate (C1P), a sphingolipid metabolite.
Both CERK and C1P are implicated in cellular processes such as proliferation, apoptosis, phagocytosis, and inflammation (Kim et al., 2006).
