- Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
Human, Gorilla (100%); Orangutan, Monkey (95%); Marmoset (84%) - For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
This gene is a novel mucin-like gene that is a member of the cadherin superfamily. It encodes nonpolymorphic tandem repeats rich in proline, serine, and threonine similar to mucin proteins, and also contains calcium-binding motifs common to cadherins. The specific function of this protein has not yet been determined. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
