TRIM9은 tripartite motif (TRIM) family에 속하는 단백질로, RING, B-box type 1, B-box type 2, coiled-coil region의 세 가지 zinc-binding domain을 포함합니다. 세포질 내 소체(cytoplasmic bodies)에 위치하며, 기능은 아직 명확히 규명되지 않았습니다. 이 유전자는 두 가지 isoform을 생성하는 alternative splicing을 통해 다양한 형태로 발현됩니다.
