Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes an extracellular epitope on CD172g, an approximately 55 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on most T cells, as well as on NK cells and some B cell populations.
Target Information
SIRP gamma (CD172g) recognizes a 55 kDa signal regulatory protein which is a member of the immunoglobulin gene superfamily.
SIRP gamma is expressed on most T lymphocytes and a subset of B cells, but is absent on myeloid cells.
CD172g has a truncated cytoplasmic tail similar to SIRP beta, but unlike SIRP beta, CD172g does not require DAP12 for surface expression.
Like SIRP alpha, CD172g binds to CD47 inducing apoptosis and is involved in negative regulation of receptor tyrosine kinase-coupled signaling.
