Target Information
SSNA1 (Sjögren syndrome nuclear autoantigen 1), also known as N14 or NA-14, is a 119-amino-acid nuclear and cytoplasmic protein that belongs to the SSNA1 family. It is highly expressed in testis and found at lower levels in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, colon, thymus, ovary, prostate, and small intestine. SSNA1 is associated with microtubule structures and may regulate spastin activity at the centrosome.
The SSNA1 gene is located on human chromosome 9, which contains over 900 genes and represents nearly 4% of the human genome.
