Target Information
TRAIL-R1 (CD261, DR4) is a type I transmembrane protein, also known as TRAIL receptor 1. Its ligand, TRAIL, is a member of the TNF family. DR4 mediates apoptosis and NF-κB activation in various cells and tissues. Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, plays a critical role in normal cellular differentiation and development. It is induced by cytokines of the TNF family (e.g., TNF, Fas ligand) and their corresponding death domain-containing receptors (e.g., TNFR1, Fas receptor).
