Target Information
PLXNA4 is a protein coding gene and acts as a coreceptor for SEMA3A. It is necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent cytoskeletal remodeling. Plays an essential role in axon guidance in the developing nervous system. Class 3 semaphorins bind to a complex composed of a neuropilin and a plexin, where the plexin modulates affinity and its cytoplasmic domain is required for downstream signaling activation.
