Target Information

PSA는 전립선 상피에서 생성되는 키모트립신 유사 세린 프로테아제(kallikrein 계열)로, 정액에 풍부하게 존재합니다. PSA는 전립선암 환자의 혈청에서 검출되며, 주로 간에서 유래한 세린 프로테아제 억제제인 alpha-1-antichymotrypsin(ACT)과 결합되어 있습니다. 전립선암에서는 양성 전립선 비대증보다 PSA가 ACT와 결합된 비율이 높습니다. PSA는 원발 및 전이성 암에서 전립선 세포 기원을 확인하고, 비전립선성 암과의 감별에 사용됩니다.
