Product Specific Information

The WM59 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD31 (PECAM-1, gpIIa), a 130–140 kDa surface protein expressed on endothelial cells, leukocytes, and platelets. CD31 plays roles in adhesion, signal transduction, and cell-cell interactions.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry on human peripheral blood cells (5 µL/test).
• Light Sensitivity: Protect from light due to photo-induced oxidation.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
• Excitation/Emission: 488–561 nm / 775 nm (Blue, Green, Yellow-Green lasers).
• Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD31 (PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor regulating T and B cell signaling through ITIM-mediated phosphorylation. It is mainly located at endothelial junctions and mediates homophilic binding important for cell-cell interactions. CD31 influences processes such as adhesion, migration, angiogenesis, apoptosis, immune regulation, and thrombosis, serving as a key molecule in vascular biology.
