Target Information
FOLR2는 folate receptor (FOLR) 패밀리에 속하며, 이 유전자들은 염색체 11번에 군집되어 있습니다. 이 단백질군은 엽산 및 여러 환원된 엽산 유도체에 대해 높은 결합 친화성을 가지며, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate를 세포 내부로 전달하는 역할을 합니다.
FOLR2 단백질은 FOLR1 및 FOLR3 단백질과 각각 68%, 79%의 서열 상동성을 보입니다. 원래 태반 특이적으로 알려졌으나, 다른 조직에서도 존재할 수 있으며, 류마티스 관절염 환자의 활막 대식세포에서 methotrexate 수송에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
