Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Macrophage receptor that binds to apolipoprotein B48 (APOB) of dietary triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRL) or similar domains in hypertriglyceridemic very low-density lipoprotein (HTG-VLDL).
Functions include:
- Binding and internalizing TRL outside macrophage context
- Providing essential lipids to reticuloendothelial cells
- Possible involvement in foam cell formation with elevated TRL and remnant lipoprotein (RLP)
- Mediates rapid, high-affinity uptake of chylomicrons (CM), HTG-VLDL, and trypsinized VLDL devoid of APOE in vitro in macrophages
