This antibody detects endogenous levels of CaMK1 alpha only when phosphorylated at Thr177.
Target Information
CAMK1 (CaMK1) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase family. It plays roles in cell differentiation, nervous system development, and signal transduction. CAMK1 is expressed in many tissues and functions as part of a calmodulin-dependent kinase cascade. Calcium/calmodulin directly activates CaMK1 by binding to the enzyme and indirectly enhances its phosphorylation and activation through CaMK1 kinase.
