Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The Golgi apparatus participates in glycosylation and transport of proteins and lipids in the secretory pathway, consisting of stacked cisternae (flattened membrane sacs). Interactions between the Golgi and microtubules are important for reorganization after mitosis.
This gene encodes one of the golgins, a family of proteins localized to the Golgi, and is involved in Rab6-regulated membrane-tethering events. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
