This antibody has specificity for Human S100A12/CAGC.
Target Information
S100A12 is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing two EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. These proteins are found in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of various cell types and are involved in regulation of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation.
S100A12 is proposed to participate in calcium-dependent signal transduction pathways and regulate cytoskeletal components affecting neutrophil activity. It also acts as a ligand for RAGE, triggering cellular activation and inflammatory responses through NF-κB activation. Additionally, S100A12 exhibits anti-microbial properties.
