Anti-Avidin Antibody Peroxidase Conjugated is purified IgG fraction obtained through delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion-exchange chromatography, followed by extensive dialysis.
Immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Rabbit Serum, and purified Avidin (Hen Egg White). Cross-reactivity with Avidin from other sources is unknown.

Avidin from chicken egg whites is a glycoprotein that binds biotin with high affinity.

• Composed of four identical subunits (total molecular mass 67,000–68,000 Da).
• Each subunit binds one biotin molecule.
• Binding involves tryptophan and lysine residues.
• Subunit sequence: 128 amino acids.
• Isoelectric point: 10–10.5.
• Highly soluble and stable across wide pH and temperature ranges.
• Resistant to chemical modification.
• Useful for detection and protein purification.
• HRP and AP conjugates are applicable for Western blotting and ELISA.
