Target Information
The Glu-Glu tag (EYMPME) is a short peptide epitope tag consisting of two glutamic acid (Glu) residues interspersed with other amino acids. It is typically incorporated into the N-terminus of recombinant proteins through subcloning into expression vectors such as the pFASTBAC vector. This tag enables efficient detection and purification of tagged proteins via specific anti–Glu-Glu antibodies. It is widely used in recombinant protein expression systems, including baculovirus-insect cell systems, to study protein localization, interactions, and function.
