Target Information
Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions. The GST gene fusion system enables purification of GST-fusion proteins via their high affinity for glutathione. These fusion proteins serve as valuable tools for studying direct protein-to-protein interactions. The GST fusion system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
