Target Information

This gene encodes one of four subunits of the splicing factor 3B. The encoded protein cross-links to a region in the pre-mRNA upstream of the branchpoint sequence within the prespliceosomal complex A. It may also participate in assembly of spliceosomal complexes B, C, and E.
The protein contains two N-terminal RNA-recognition motifs (RRMs), enabling direct and specific binding to pre-mRNA and interaction with subunit 2 of splicing factor 3B.
