Target Information

The phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of proteins on serine and threonine residues regulate key cellular functions such as cell division, homeostasis, and apoptosis. Serine/threonine (Ser/Thr) protein kinases, including PSKH2 (protein serine kinase H2), play a crucial role in this process.
PSKH2 is a 385 amino acid protein belonging to the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family, containing one protein kinase domain. It is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 8, which spans approximately 146 million base pairs and includes over 800 genes. Mutations in genes on this chromosome are associated with several diseases and malignancies such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, Trisomy 8, Pfeiffer syndrome, congenital hypothyroidism, Waardenburg syndrome, and certain leukemias and lymphomas.
