Target Information
Signal-induced proliferation associated-like protein 1 (SIPA1L1) is a member of the SIPA1 family of RapGAPs. It was identified as a binding partner and degradation target of the E6 oncoprotein of high-risk papillomaviruses.
Casein kinase I epsilon (CKIe), a Wnt-regulated kinase, binds to the carboxy-terminus of SIPA1L1 and phosphorylates it, reducing stability and regulating Rap1 activity. SIPA1L1 is implicated in embryonic development and cell proliferation control.
