Target Information
MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)는 대부분의 선상 및 관상 상피세포와 일부 조혈세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포막 점액당단백질입니다.
MUC1은 프로테올리시스 및 O-결합 글리칸의 연속적 추가 및 처리 과정을 통해 성숙하며, 높은 다형성을 보여 각 대립유전자가 서로 다른 반복 수(30~90)를 가져 단백질의 분자량에 큰 차이를 유발합니다.
MUC1은 대부분의 분비 상피와 유방암 및 전이암의 90% 이상에서 풍부하게 발현됩니다. 또한 MUC1은 모든 CebB 수용체와 결합하며, 젖샘에서 erbB1(EGFR)과 공위치를 형성하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손을 포함하며, 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변형을 생성합니다. 과발현, 세포내 위치 변화, 당화 패턴의 변화는 다양한 암종과 관련이 있습니다.
