The Human I-TAC (CXCL11) Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures I-TAC (CXCL11) protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits to create customized multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (sold separately) is needed per assay plate, regardless of plex size.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the principles of a sandwich ELISA, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of a single protein to quantitate multiple targets simultaneously with a Luminex instrument.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other bodily fluids.

The Luminex beads used in ProcartaPlex assays are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create spectrally unique signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Similar to a sandwich ELISA, matched antibody pairs are used to identify the protein of interest. Each bead is conjugated with antibodies specific for one target protein, and detection occurs via biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in ProcartaPlex assays is conjugated to a bead instead of adsorbed to a microplate well, allowing reagents to remain free-floating in solution. Detection with Luminex instruments uses two lasers—one to distinguish bead signatures and another to quantify RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.

ProcartaPlex multiplex assays provide high-throughput profiling of multiple target proteins using significantly less sample volume and time compared to traditional ELISA.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available for six species: human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine.
