Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with canine, mouse, and non-human primate based on 100% sequence homology.
It is specific for the ~50 kDa human THR-alpha1 and the ~58 kDa human THR-alpha2 proteins.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear hormone receptor for triiodothyronine. It is one of several receptors for thyroid hormone and mediates the biological activities of thyroid hormone. Knockout studies in mice suggest that these receptors, while partially redundant, may mediate distinct functions of thyroid hormone. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
