Target Information
The FBXL3 gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family, characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid F-box motif. F-box proteins form one of the four subunits of the SCF ubiquitin ligase complex, which mediates phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. These proteins are classified into three groups:
- Fbws containing WD-40 domains
- Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats
- Fbxs with diverse protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs
FBXL3 belongs to the Fbls class, contains tandem leucine-rich repeats, and is localized in the nucleus.
