Description:
The MD5-1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse DR5 (also known as TRAIL-R2, Apo2, TRICK2, and KILLER). DR5 binds to TRAIL, activates NF-kappaB, and induces TRAIL-mediated apoptosis. DR5 mRNA is broadly expressed by normal tissues and human antigen is also expressed by some tumor cell lines.

Applications Tested:
- Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse DR5-transfected cells.
- Recommended ≤ 0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume).
- Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
- Antibody titration recommended for optimal results.

Target Information
DR5 (Apo2, TRAIL-R2, TRICK2, KILLER):
A death domain-containing receptor for TRAIL, part of the TNF-receptor superfamily. DR5 mediates TRAIL-induced apoptosis and activates NF-kappaB signaling. Two transcript variants and one non-coding transcript are known. Highly expressed in lymphocytes and spleen.
Associated diseases include squamous cell carcinoma and diffuse infiltrative lymphocytosis syndrome.
