Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Pig, and Mouse.
Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are composed of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies. These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets.
Each lot is produced with a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability associated with traditional polyclonal antibodies.
Note: Formerly called “Recombinant polyclonal antibody”, now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody.” The physical product and performance remain unchanged.
Target Information
The ABL1 proto-oncogene encodes a cytoplasmic and nuclear protein tyrosine kinase involved in cell differentiation, division, adhesion, and stress response.
Activity of c-Abl is negatively regulated by its SH3 domain; deletion of this domain converts c-Abl into an oncogene.
In chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) and some acute lymphoblastic leukemias (ALL), ABL1 undergoes a (9;22) chromosomal translocation, producing the Philadelphia chromosome and the Bcr-Abl fusion gene.
c-Abl is also implicated in DNA repair and apoptosis regulation when DNA damage is irreparable.
