Target Information
This gene encodes a protein identified in a screen for genes expressed in metastatic cells, particularly mammary adenocarcinoma cell lines. Expression correlates with metastatic potential in some carcinomas but is also observed in normal tissues. The protein is thought to be involved in transcriptional regulation through chromatin remodeling, containing DNA binding, dimerization, and methylation-related domains.
