Target Information
TFG protein is a human homolog of mouse TFG protein, containing an N-terminal coiled-coil structure and a SPYGQ-rich region followed by octicosapeptide repeats. Research indicates that TFG modulates SHP-1 activity and is a member of the NF-κB pathway. It associates with proteins such as TANK and NEMO. TFG was first identified as a partner of NTRK1 and is implicated in the formation of the thyroid TRK-T3 oncogene, as well as oncogenic rearrangements with ALK in anaplastic lymphoma and NOR1 in mixoid chondrosarcoma.
