Product Specific Information
- In ELISAs and Western blots, no cross-reactivity was observed with recombinant human CD31, ICAM-1, -2, -3, recombinant mouse MAdCAM-1, or human VCAM-1.
- In sandwich ELISAs, no cross-reactivity was observed with human CEACAM-3, CEACAM-5, or CEACAM-6.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
CEACAM1 is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) gene family, part of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The CEA family includes cell adhesion molecules and pregnancy-specific glycoproteins located on chromosome 19. CEACAM1 was initially identified in liver bile ducts and later found on leukocytes, epithelial, and endothelial cells. It mediates cell adhesion via homophilic and heterophilic interactions and is involved in tissue organization, angiogenesis, apoptosis, tumor suppression, metastasis, and immune modulation. Multiple isoforms have been reported.
